A comment by Prez. Trump.

President Donald Trump posted a photo on social media Tuesday afternoon of a bloodied, shirtless man, whom other news outlets have identified as Coristine, along with criticism of crime committed by kids in Washington, D.C.

“Crime in Washington, D.C., is totally out of control,” Trump wrote. “Local ‘youths’ and gang members, some only 14, 15, and 16-years-old, are randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens.”

The police report does not indicate that Coristine was shot.

“If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City,” Trump wrote.

Local prosecutions are handled primarily by the U.S. Attorney’s office for Washington, D.C. The Senate confirmed Trump nominee Jeanine Pirro to that role earlier this week.

The Metropolitan Police Department announced Tuesday it arrested two 15-year-olds from Maryland. They were charged with unarmed carjacking.

I actually like it when bad guys take the room temp challenge. Feel sorry for the person who stops them but usually a cop is only 5 minutes away after you make the call.

Unfortunately bad people force us into these situations

It was just a matter time before this kid hit the big time and murdered somebody. The federal officer that shot him most likely saved lives.

Some of these comments take me right to my prayer closet! But for the grace of God it could’ve been one of us. It could’ve been a kid in our neighborhood or even our own family member. I’m so thankful the officer is physically okay. I pray he is mentally okay after this. A life loss is a life loss. No matter what or how this child was failed in his lifetime and doesn’t deserve to be failed in death by calling him a turd, celebrating his death, calling him other heinous names, and disrespecting his parents. Every situation has a different story behind it. It doesn’t excuse anyone but it can bring understanding. We can hate the sin and still love the person. This child probably was smart, probably loved basketball, probably did like hanging with friends, HOWEVER, he entertained & acted out a life of crime. We are never the sum total of a single action. That’s why he still had friends, still laughed, still loved, BUT still hurt inside, still made horrible choices, still ended up deceased before 15yrs of age. We could speculate all day, speak demeaning things, and even continue to disregard his life
I pray we don’t go that route. I pray we pray for the ones left behind who knew and loved him, who now have to face how they failed him, how they can help the next person & these kids understand death with crime is very REAL! You play a stupid game you get a stupid prize! I speak compassion, growth, change, and understanding! No condemnation for the officer or his family.

Greetings & welcome to the community, Maggie.

Hello!! Thank you!! Have a blessed day, stay safe!
