That is because of CRT, they want to install white people as racist and the cause of all evil instead of teaching actual history. It is sad that kids now days dont understand or they think WWII was propaganda.

Just a side note… The Philippines were a part of the US when the Japanese attacked (like Puerto Rico is a part of the US). They seized it from the US for four years while killing American Filipinos and resistance fighters, many of which were both US citizens and former US soldiers (WW1).
The American Naval bases (Subic Bay and Manila) were used both in WW1 and WW2. General McArthur was comissioned as military advisor and Field Marshal for the Philippines Commonwealth Army in 1935. Hence the embellishment on the brim of his cap:
