I just wish news outlets reporting on these things reported accurately. No of such laws are about combating gun violence; that is such an obvious and blatant lie. Criminals responsible for most gun violence don’t care…these are always about disarming the law abiding citizens by means of making it difficult, inconvenient, and expensive to own firearms. It is utterly disgusting from the lawmakers but even more so the sheep that believe them.

The article conveniently ignores the fact that this is defacto gun registration. Pay the insurance and yearly fee (to the city) and You are On The List. A local Government entity will know You have firearms.
