Rust…oh wait…nm
“They Live” Rowdy Roddy Piper
“Kelly’s Hero’s” Fantastic cast
“Extreme Prejudice” Nick Nolte
“The Devils Rejects” Sid Haig, Sheri Moon Zombie 9Rob’s Wife! OUCH!)
Excellent! Still holds the record for the longest continuous two man fight scene on film.
For all the Rowdy Roddy fans out there, let’s not forget “Hell Comes to Frogtown”.
I watched a good creepy movie, nefarious. Can’t remember if I posted already sorry if it’s a double posting.
+1
Steve Deace was heavily involved in production.
Found a new favorite. Hypnotic (2023) starring Ben Affleck. So many plot twists and turns, and the most elaborate rescue mission. Not necessarily an action movie per se, more of a thriller / drama, but definitely worth the watch IMO.
I’ll check it out. I don’t consider myself a Ben Affleck fan but two of his movies from the last 10 years are highly recommended.
Triple Frontier
The Accountant
The Accountant is one of my favorites! I’ve not heard of Triple Frontier, I’ll have to check it out.
I went to a Local Library and they had a Book (Movie) sale:
Picked up (6) flicks for ($6) ! Armageddon-B. Willis, Patton, Inception, Longest Day, Machine Gun preacher- G.Butler but the Surprise flick seems to be: “SNIPER”: ‘The White Raven’ —Suffering a senseless tragedy
@ the hands of invading soldiers in the Donbass region in 2014 a Ukraine Physicist teacher renounces his peaceful way of life and seeks revenge (apparently vs. his Russian Sniper Counterpart --who prolly took out his Wife/Family —haven’t watched yet—waiting for dark and my Sister to go to a friends house so it can be loud! Chilling the Cokes now—review to follow if any are interested-- English language available so it might be poorly dubbed, like an old Japanese Kung Fu movie…Hope not… Trigger fingers crossed
20:07 : Damn fine Movie ! Sniper: “White Raven”–Ukraine (5*****) Even w/ subtitles on-- the difference of the spoken word and the incorrect translation it was an accurate portrayal of the Sniper and their Training. Tactic’s. wardrobe and the quiet calm of the Heart of the Sniper. For a Foreign film it surpassed what I expected. Top (10) fave. I’m addicted to subtitles.
Sniper: White Raven is a good movie, but be aware that it’s a Ukrainian film. Good quality, but due to the language differences there are some phrases that may seem a little out of place. I would not use the subtitles — they don’t match the English audio.
It’s a good movie though. Probably the most realistic representation of what actually goes into sniper training, especially during war time.
You were right on Brother, But I loved the subtitles anyway
Excellent insight into Ukraine/Russian WAR.
Oh, so it’s not a part of Tom Berenger’s Sniper series, all of which I’ve seen.
I’m going to look for it. When I find a good foreign film or tv series dubbed in English, I watch it in its original language.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Korean, Finnish, or Arabic.
This was from Amazon Prime…the dvd is out there already, you just have to hunt for it Brother----well worth it.
Found it! Thanks for recommending.
Yes indeed, great movie. “Plus”
“Plus” Indeed Good Sir!
Been monitoring the Missing 411 series information by David Paulides. I do appreciate their documentary approach, emphasizing facts, and respect for the victims. Seems done in a most tactful manner.
Kinda on a lighter note, more towards fiction, I stumbled across a movie, to my surprise, had a highly unusual take on how some hunters go missing in woods. Of course I do not believe as what’s seen in this film, personally, but thought it was uniquely entertaining.
It’s called “The Bad Shepherd” (2024)
I’m ok with that because nonfiction could be boring if not done right. We want to be entertained and other times, we want to learn and be informed.
I’ll watch Bad Shepherd after a few months when it’s free.
