Nice letter. Looks like they can send this same exact one to everyone regardless of what issue you write them about.

The letters I get back usually say how much they care about the issue I write them about and then blah blah about how they will end up voting against the topic I have expressed concern for because they know what is best for me and my family.

Every Congress person has a staff of 25-somethings interns who draft letters and handle communications with the governed, These interns converge on DC to work on the Hill in hopes landing a federal job somewhere.

Now, with AI drafting their letters, they can cut their staffs.

The only way to get the attention of these elected officials is to threaten their continued employment – that’s why big donors and lobbyists representing big donors get heard – or be in a position to hire a Congressman when/if he leaves office. If you ever get to speak with a Congressman about an issue, one of the first questions he will ask is "Who is for (or against) this topic you want to discuss with me?’ He/She is counting votes and assessing the likelihood of the issue morphing into a political problem threatening their re-election.

That is why I say we need the people on our side. It doesn’t really matter if they are Democrats or Republicans.

This is how it’s done all over the country!

You just got stamped! If you’re lucky there’s a study going on right now to figure out whether It’s male or female, at a cost of $1.6 billion dollars!

Very polite and diplomatic piece avoiding the issue and saying nothing other than crap.

Now that’s a “representative”. Representative of a “politician” glad handing through a form letter sent to everybody voicing concern on any issue.

Sucking the taxpayer teat. I see him as having a political future. Think of all the nothing worst case politicians you see daily spouting absolute nonsense.

Now think about the dumb mfers dumb enough to elect them. There you go!

Lankford from OK basically responds with a civics lesson and never addresses the issue

I get the same kind of BS responses from my NV Senators and House Rep. Sounds like they turn them over to staffers for response. Soon enough they’ll probably turn them over to an AI program. Once in a great while I’ll get one that says, essentially, we disagree with you and will never vote as you wish.

If Langford does not support this then the Bill is basically dead
