If the officer, or officers if needed, are granted immunity, and I suspect they will be, any state or local charges would be for show only. That said, even if he, or they, are not granted immunity, law enforcement officers are generally given a great deal of deference in circumstances such as this. Split second actions call for split second reactions. The officer who fired the shots was in fact struck by the vehicle.

Run it full screen at 1/4 speed. The wheels on the SUV are pointed straight ahead at the ICE agent when she accelerates. AFTER repeated warnings to exit the vehicle.

I grew up in the days when, even though no crime was proven, if law enforcement were to shout âstop or Iâll shootâ you best obey. I have a relative that was stopped for âjoy ridingâ back in the 60âs. He decided to run, he took a .38 round on the arm while trying to go over a fence. This was the way things were. I admit it can lead to abuse, but for us at the time it cemented a respect, agree or no, for law enforcement and the idea they werenât there to play games. To disobey was not an option. We need politicians who do not advocate âradical civil disobedienceâ or âdonât follow ordersâ you donât agree with. Undermine the authority of those that should have it and society will pay the price. A woman is dead because she bought into this line of thinking.

She drove directly at the officer in front of her vehicle. What would possess someone to do that? FAFO. I have no empathy for her trying to kill someone and her dying as a result of that.
