can you practice handgun shooting on county land specifically in chippewa County?

I’ve done a couple of google searches and haven’t found the information for Chippewa County.

Check with your local sheriff’s department, @RandyB. They’ll be able to direct you to the local ordinance about shooting on your own property. Usually there are some requirements to be met - size of property, backstop, location.

As mentioned by Dawn, I would check, but typically the answer is no unless it is at a county-run range or are in an area that allows hunting and are actively and legally hunting. Most of the time, general target shooting in a non-approved and managed range is not allowed.
