I recently bought the Taurus TH45apc. Its hammer fired, has a decocker which doubles as a safety (if that’s not a deal breaker). Holds 13 rounds, accurate & so far it eats all ammo. It was well reviewed so I rented one & was very impressed. Now that I have put over 600 rounds through it without one failure. I highly recommend this pistol. And yes it is very affordable $381 online from Sportsman’s outdoor superstore

Betcha can’t beat my Springfield.

I have a Springfield Armory 1911 Garrison which I really enjoy, I think I picked it up for like $749 and it’s been extremely reliable and fun to shoot.
