When to use your firearm and never keep one in the chamber

Oh, I almost forgot

Good Bye Derek

I do not believe what you claimed to be possible. I am more than willing to be shown wrong, but in my multiple decades of being in the concealed carry space I have yet to see it done.

Amen, thank you and well said brother. I was reading the thread, and getting irritated at what I was perceiving as insults to brothers whom I respect enormously, when I came to your post. My need to step in evaporated because you said it so well.

Thanks Don.

@Derek76 congratulations on earning a coveted spot on my ignore list, on your first post no less. Truly impressive troll skills.

The only thing I’m afraid of is My Wife.

Youngster. Not even dry behind the ears.

Fortune may favor the bold, but chance favors the prepared mind. Our minds are prepared. The jury is still out on yours.

Again, the only thing I am afraid of is My Wife.

BYE, Felicia!!

I am always ready, EDC chambered, for the last 52 years, no incidents.

You don’t have to get ready if you are ready. Fractions of a second count.

Welcome to the community and you are right when fractions of a second count!

Fractions of a second always count.
One in the chamber or two feet in the grave! You always have a choice!
The last thing that will go through your mind, is racking the slide for eternity.

Like the videos of the guys unsuccessfully racking the slides or fiddling with their external safeties…

Yeah, I got this, can you wait a minute, please?

I know you’re mugging me,…. But if you could just stop for a few seconds I’d like to unlock my firearm so you can use it against me because it’s not loaded and you’re already whooping my ass…..

It’s the

Not putting on the seat belt thinking I have enough time to put it on before the crash.

The only time you rack the slide putting one in an empty chamber is the reload

Nice analogy

I disagree on one in the chamber, when Leo are confronted with a deadly weapon, fractions of a second will count if you are going to stay alive! When the suspect pulls a knife or a gun you don’t have that half a second to chamber a round and we always kept one in the chamber in out Glock 19 and Glock 22. Being in the military you may not need that fraction of a second but we as LEOS NEED EVERY ADVANTAGE!
