I have always had extremely fast hands friend just something my family was blessed with so I am not afraid to go out with a full clip installed and chamber one when it is time to handle a combatant… lots of people gave me disrespect over this in this Group ! I say to each their Own Good luck to You all but I have always been ready just don’t want to shoot anyone Unnecessarily!
When you shoot someone you take all they have ever had and will ever have so it makes me feel better to give them a fraction of a second as they came unprepared for what they have unleashed!

My respect for the life of others is high and I am lucky and fast so I will give a combatant here in the USA the Extra Time not in a Warzone Third World Hellhole because I have been in those as well and they didn’t give us our weapons as we were on a humanitarian mission building farm and Market roads through the Jungles of South America Feurtos Camino 1990!
I think negative about shooting another human being so it is a last resort so I will give them the extra fraction of a second and take cover and then decide to chamber and go shoot their ass as I was trained to do!

The United States turning into a combat zone is also why we are encouraged to have insurance. The legal system of our United States has stacked the deck against us and we have to do battle in the court rooms to protect ourselves from going to jail AFTER protecting ourselves from dying.
Well you should feel negative about shooting an innocent human being.No argument there. If you are shooting a human that is trying to murder human beings I think you should feel positive about saving lives. The quicker you are the more lives you can save.
Theres loads of considerations like holster, carry position, gun choice and so on.
Personally, I have to leave my gun in my personal vehicle at work, and until I found a holster that was quick on quick off, and could be done while seated without drawing unnecessary attention I used to carry without a round in the chamber.
Now that the trigger remains protected at all times going in/out of my waistband and console safe, it is loaded condition zero at all times.

How does having a round chambered make you shoot someone - unnecessarily? Doesn’t shooting take an action on your part? Your firearm will just unholster itself and shoot someone without your control? In all the 20+ years I have carried, my firearm has always remained in its holster until I drew it. The only times it comes out is for range time and cleaning.
Zero fear, just aware that we, unlike you, do not have superhuman powers. Having a round chambered is not dangerous until you unholster and pull the trigger. Believing that is, is either due to ignorance or fear - you stated you don’t want to kill an innocent person. That cannot happen unless you point the firearm at that person and pull the trigger on a loaded firearm.
We are patriots and rational - definitely not sheep. We are the protectors of our families and ourselves. You seem to be the one that is afraid, afraid that your firearm will all on its own - unholster and kill an innocent person. If it can do that, why couldn’t it chamber a round, too, then?
