I disagree. The unhoused around here will jump out in front of you and scream in your face “WTF are you looking at?” 3-4 of them will gather around. I refuse to cower and run. These guys are not doing anything good, usually dealing/using drugs and they don’t want the guy walking down the sidewalk to see. Cowering and running away is handing them the keys to the kingdom, allowing them to do as they will under the umbrellas of everyone’s afraid of us. I’m not doing it. They jump out on me I tell them “Get the DUCK away from me MF’er”, When the ask what I’m going to do about it, I walk right at them. They live on intimidation, don’t be intimidated by them and they’ll find a more comfortable place to operate.
