@Johnnyq60 thanks for the welcome and even more for your service. I was working the NY/Boston Financial Corridor in IT during 9/11. I still remember coming back to the Barclay’s Building at 222 Broadway just days after. Heroes like you are what enabled people like me to help move business forward in such a difficult time. @stRay I appreciate you but I’m no hero, the people like all the officers and firefighters and all first responders that made the ultimate sacrifice are the heroes and all military and medical personnel.

I’ve taken Concealed Carry and Home Defense and took a class that had you shooting on the move, shooting through windows, behind cover, multiple targets on the move. Great Class

Hello all
I recently joined USCCA after completing a my recertification training for my CCW here in California. I’ve been a gun owner for many years as hunting was a part of my life growing up. I’ve been a CCW holder for 6 years. I’ve spent over 30 years as a first responder working as a Paramedic and a Firefighter . After reading through some of the post I know I’m in the right place now.

Like Illinois where I live, I believe that California is not a 2nd Amendment friendly state, and that you have to jump through many “hoops” to obtain your CCW.
I circumvent some of the obstacles here, by my carrying under the Federal HR 218 law.
I am glad to see more people are taking their 2nd Amendment rights seriously.
