Yes democracies, not democracy. Thanks for letting me clarify. I understand.
This makes sense, North America is is just a big land mass, and America is just a country in North America on which Americans live, in a constitutional republic.
If we lived in democracy like you say, we all would’ve had to vote on the bombing that took place yesterday
That is not the type of democracy I am talking about. I am talking about democracy as a verb, democratically ( not the party either). Why’s everybody always picking on me.
No one has been picking on you,
they’re just correcting you.
Seriously
They are correcting what they want me to mean so they can correct me. Not what I mean. They are making fun of my articulation skills. It’s OK I am use to it.
not necessarily deceive so much more like misdirect or perhaps disinform…
IMHO any person collecting welfare, note: VA comp, earned social security and such is exempt…
should NOT be allowed to vote!!!
they’re not help pull the wagon they have no right to say where it goes!
furthermore they can regain their right to vote IF they get off welfare and are gainfully employed for 1 year!
furthermore if they vote while on welfare they should be kicked off of and LOSE the right to said welfare for 3 years
What am I posting that is not true? Isnt that what misdirect and disinform would imply?
just my opinion mind you but you keep harping on democracy…
the only part of our system that uses that is voting for laws and offices…
that said IMHO we would be far better off if each state had to us an electoral college by counties to pass laws and elect officers…
the reason being right now the big population centers control each state…
and they too often run rough shod over the minorities of that state…
to often this has led to the masses forcing their will on the entire population!!!
many unconstitutional anti2nd laws as well as other things get passed this way…
so if there are say 80 counties in a state and 41 would have to agree and those 80 could not be forced by the big population centers into something they do NOT want!!!
such a system would return to a degree the power of individuals to affect their state laws and officers…
again just my opinion…
oh and voter fraud needs to be address BIG TIME… the latest reports claim the CCP had a hand in the 2020 election through FRAUD!!!
all that said we are still a representative REPUBLIC!
constantly saying democracy gives too many the idea that can do things if they have the majority…
that would be the downfall of our republic IMHO… protections were put in place against democracy!!!
a true fact was at one time voters were far better educated then now!!!
and who could vote was controlled… now not so much… originally one had to own land to vote…
the reasoning was they would vote for their and our best interest to maintain the Republic!!!
You keep putting democracy down as it is some kind of poison. It is not democracy that is bad it is certain types of democracy that are bad.
You are the one saying democracy every time you bring up representative REPUBLIC.
That should be against a pure democracy. Not the democracy I am referring to.
That is what we are doing. I am not disagree with you. What I am objecting to is you using the word democracy incorrectly every time you use the word republic.
sadly too many vote AGAINST there best interest!!!
It’s sad, so sad
It’s a sad, sad situation
And it’s gettin’ more and more absurd
Elton John
I think of the USA as a democratically (adverb) run Republic.
Easy for you to say.
That’s a start! No guarantee that their parents didn’t indoctrinate them with Muslimism though. That picture, contrary to the verbiage, makes it appear like you’re voting Yes or No for Omar.
not one major government has adopted direct democracy as its primary way of governing the populace.
democracy is doomed to fail as the state would be subject to the wills of uneducated and uninformed peoples.
democracy can often devolve into tyranny as a result of this problematic nature.
Madison realised the problems that plagued direct democracies and instead sought to establish a Constitutional Republic,
The term Constitutional Republic can be easily be understood
the Constitution is the supreme law of the United States while the term “Republic” means that the power of the government is held by the people but is exercised by elected representatives. This differentiation in power helps to protect the Republic from being subject to “mob rule”,
the United States Federal Government derives from the populace that it protects and governs but ultimately its rule of law comes from the Constitution. Therefore, since the US government is representative in nature and derives its laws from the Constitution, it should be classified as a Constitutional Republic rather than a Democracy.
