USCCA instruction courses VS. NRA instruction courses

I’m on board with this. Family and friends, all they want to do is play a paper game, which there are some fun ones out there. There’s a golf, battle ship, darts, checkers and of course all the things that spin, ring and clang. Great Fun!

I loved the USCCA instructor corse but you can’t sign off CCW classes without having an NRA number (corse) also . Did not know even though i had planned on doing some NRA instructor corses also you kind of have to .

@Daniel437 - Welcome to the Community.

What do you mean by that?

I was told we need an NRA number to send in certificates after teaching a CCW class. I just finished the class today and was told to take a NRA course to get a NRA number to list on certificates before sending them in with app and fingerprints.

Interesting. Perhaps it’s different by State.

I’m guessing NRA is the easiest way to be Certified Concealed Carry Firearms Instructor… at least in IL
To teach CCW classes you need a valid firearms instructor certification… and NRA can be one of them.

Daniel,

That varies from State to State. The USCCA has written agreements with almost every State in the Country. In my State and many others, you do not need to have an NRA Instructor ID number to sign a certificate. You do however, need to list your USCCA Instructor number on the certificates that you issue.

Some States may require you to register with them to be added to their State database. However, the USCCA is a Nationally recognized and authorized firearms training organization.

Stay safe out there.
