There are MANY off-brand knives to shop - even though I have a small collection of mostly COLD STEEL fixed-blades, I’ll look for these on places like Amazon, and go to their respective websites to see their full line. Two I’ve run into are REAT and OERLA, which offer some really great shapes - at reasonable prices - and in D-2 steel. When my interest in knives began in ‘72, you could only get D-2 in bench-made knives from individual makers. Check out OERLA, especially - they offer THREE steels in their fixed-blades: 420-HC, D-2, and 440-C - and TWO in their folders: 420-HC and 440-C. The two stainless steels are cryo-quenched - just click on the steel you want to see what models they’re offered in. One that caught my eye was the OLK-032EK, in 420-HC - with it’s ring-choil and jimped spine. FYI
