Turkey guns, chokes, and loads

I added a Vortex Venom Red Dot to my primary turkey gun, Browning Maxus All-Purpose Hunter 12 ga. 26". I thought y’all might like to see the pattern at 45 yards using a TruLock TKY 670 choke and Federal TSS 3.5" #9’s.

I take it you don’t eat the neck😀
Have you used an RDS on a shotgun before?

yep, and no.

I should note I lowered impact point about a 1.5" after this shot. Since TSS shells are almost $10 each my followup shot was #6 copper coated lead. center of shot pattern now perfect.

I have zero knowledge about shotguns and I don’t hunt… but from Pistols Instructor perspective I can say this:

  • firearms from Turkey are good
  • you need to work on your grip.
