In this case, perhaps more self control is the lesson.
I think you de-escalated the situation. Good job. Hopefully he didnât go home and hit his wife and kick his dog.
Oh welcome to the community. It is my opinion that we need more like you. Problem is my opinion doesnât count.
It wasnât really unhinged, or cocky, kinda a simple gesture. Use to use a flash of high beams, to have someone move to the right. I drive through a sesspool of spokane area, have for years, before that it was SoCal. This was just a casual story. Avoidance is key surely. But sure, no point in pointing out stupidity in drivers, just avoid. Lesson was donât flash lights, not that I didnât sort of know it, but I had at least one way to de-escalate, the main one was, not turn left, and take another route. Iâm a combat veteran, but I am not looking to be cocky, very under spoken and sitting on the edge our outside of most everything. Not sure Iâd read into this story as a story of cockyness. I felt like posting it, because it is tense out there, which is why in 2021, I decided having insurance now was important, more than ever, and that was after 6 years of having enhance CCW. I appreciate all the comments, so thanks.
Welcome to the CREW my Brother.
You are ALIVE, You went HOME.
Nuff said, you lived to tell the tail
as some say.
What you coulda, shoulda, woulda is moot now.
You are on the correct side of the Grass, job well done.
If there is a next time (God forbid) Engage Shields and Warp
speed the Phuck outta there, âFace offsâ can get you dead.
Just my (2) Pesos.

Why would you think your opinion doesnât count? It may or may not have much impact on what others here think but it is vitally important in how you choose to live your life since I assume you are making most of your decisions based on your own opinion of what is best. So from your perspective your opinion counts more than anyone elseâs here.
I may not often agree with your opinion but it does sometimes help me more clearly analyze why my opinion makes more sense for the decisions I need to make in my life.
Diversity of opinions is important. This forum wouldnât be all that useful if everyone agreed with everything without critically analyzing problems from different perspectives. While I tend to be very opinionated I am always trying to listen to othersâ opinions with an open mind. I have certainly modified my opinions over time based on the perspectives others have introduced me to here.
So I appreciate the different perspective you bring to the discussion even when I donât agree with it. Besides the discussions you get into usually give @Karacal an excuse to bring out the popcorn which usually brings a smile to @Don102 since he is really into popcorn apparently;)
Actually I really dislike Popcorn but if it keeps Karacal busy looking for vidâs and links
It frees the rest of us up to solve really important issues like Poverty, World Peace and Climate changeâŠ
(and if you believe that I have a Bridge I just bought (from Karacal) I can let you have CHEAP!)
Robert EVERYBODY has something to bring to the table. EVERYBODY. Donât sell yourself short Brother.
All are welcome @ the USCCA CONTINENTAL ! Just remember, NO BLOOD SPILLED ON COMPANY GROUNDS other than that you are Golden Brother.
Have a Fabulous night.

NO STEP ON SNEK!
I wasnât thinking. I was just saying the words that came to mind. There is no logic to it. I wish I could do that all the time. I donât know where my mind goes or why it goes there. Not an excuse just the way it is. Thanks for the kind words.
@mwalters44 Welcome to the community. Road rage is a very serious, and dangerous behavior ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY!!! You handled this incident as best that you could, And glad it turned out how it did. People, adults/children have been SHOT, seriously injured or killed in these situations. Good job! HOWEVER! best advice to all, never react in a situation that escalates the behavior by flipping off, making jesters, flashing your lights, just draw back and let those fools keep on going down the road.
@BeanCounter I LOVE X-TRA BUTTER!!!
My mom always reminds me,
âTheyâll eventually meet their match.â
Yes they will!!! And it doesnât end well! Two BULLIES road raging each other!!!
Now weâre talking!!!
Well, it may, one or more might not be on the road for at least several years or more.
High-end Cracker Jacks?
The wildlife ecologist/tracker I apprenticed with had a little lesson where she would teach how to differentiate between moose dropping and deer or elk etc. She would go through the visual characteristics and then pretend to pick some up and smell them before popping some of these into her mouth for the taste test:
Then she would offer some to the students to try for themselves. The look on some of the students faces who didnât figure out the switch was priceless:)
@Shamrock I thought that those were WHOPPERS!
This oneâs for you
