To Prevent Mass Shootings, Trump Looks Into ‘Controversial’ Mental Illness

The Gun Homicide rate is from the FBI annual reports and I heard that the newest number is 50% drop since 1992. The CAFE deaths have multiple sources that a quick Google search brings up. Some are NHTSA.gov. Heritage.org. Yale environmental research. Americanthinker.

Far too many opportunities to abuse the system. First, depending on who is in the White House and who is in control of the Legislative Branch, … such as if Democrats win the next election, all Trump supporters will be declared mentally ill and have their firearms taken… without being convicted of any crimes…, they can use this for political purposes.
There should be nothing that ever has someone punished without any charges or indictments. You must be suspected of a crime, not simply being a firearms owner or someone with political views or religious views. You must then be prosecuted and be able to face your accuser, cross examine witnesses and present evidence in your defense.

Nothing in the Constitution about punishing an individual because of a suspected possible future potential crime that has not occurred.

Those who have been ‘legally’ adjudicated as mentally ill, should already be prevented from purchasing firearms, or possessing them while they are under the mental health adjudication.

No to tracking, that violates privacy (and privacy is supposedly now a right), no to ‘Red Flag’ laws that violate the Constitution and Due Process rights, and that throw the entire US legal system on it’s ear by ignoring the basic ‘innocent until proven guilty’.

No Law may Supersede, Override, or be Contrary to the Constitution.

A Law Repugnant to the Constitution is Void!
