Things you don't know that you might want to know?

There are stories of legend when it comes to the firearms world. Many of them have lasted the test of time giving them their legendary status. The testament is a question though, is it the round or the firearm itself? The nineteen eleven, Colt forty-five acp,
I found a video that had some good information. Instead of stealing its information I thought I would share it.

They are still making new versions for the 45ACP like the CMMG Banshee.

Then there is the Bond Arms .45 ACP

This legendary round is not slowing down nor is it backing down!

It’s slow enough already! :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing::rolling_on_the_floor_laughing::rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

Seriously though, I do love me some .45!

Sig and colt 1911s, FNX tactical (now with suppressor! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: ) And a G-36 all reside in my safe right now!

Ohh, and I’ve got a .45-100 that I need to hang on my wall.
In case you were wondering what that looks like, there ya go! The little one is a standard 5.56

There may be sexier rounds that are faster but a good .45 is still my favorite although i do carry a 9mm more, im saving the best for if/when i need it

45ACP all the way I own others but carry a 45 most of the time.

unfortunately it’s not so popular at it was decades ago…

I personally don’t care…
I found myself more effective with 9mm than 45ACP, plus my hands appreciate my choice :slightly_smiling_face:

But… it’s nice that people still shoot this obsolete round… :squinting_face_with_tongue:

That’s what I told my wife, too. Oh, wait… That isn’t me. I do like the round, though not a 1911 fan, I do have the Baretta PX4 in .45ACP.

it’s not obsolete myself and 3 buddy’s get together once a month and shoot and there is 5 45’s between us and at one range we go to there is always a few others . I will say this most of the 45 shooters are 50+ not many younger people like shooting them to hard hitting.

They need to discover the pleasure of shooting 45ACP from a 1911

Third actual firearm he’d ever fired at 11 years old!

Sig fastback 1911 .45APC

Nailed the steel gopher self resetting knock down at about 10 yards on his first shot with that gun!

Nice. I find I’m most accurate with the 1911.

Was that intentional for safety reasons that he only had one round?

Obviously!

Started my boys on airsoft years earlier, that was their first day with real firearms…. Worked up from .22, 9mm, .45, and .44mag Desert Eagle!
As well as 10/22, 15-22, 5.56 Tavor, and 5.56 AR-15
