Not a big fan of the agenda of this news site but found this article interesting. Didn’t know that the conversion could be done as easily as this article suggests.
I personally thought the article made a great case showing how anti gun laws will never work at keeping machine guns, or any other guns, out of the hands of criminals. They just disarm law abiding citizens in an increasingly dangerous world.
Exactly that - as it suggests. Always vet your source. Regardless of how one converts a firearm, it is still illegal to do so. Criminals are named such for a reason. An example of why not to read The Trace, aka, the farce.

Bump-firing also makes semi-auto quick, and no add-ons needed, just trigger control. Yes, even handguns can be “bump” fired. Many videos to prove that, here is just one.
Clearly the trace has an anti gun agenda and this piece was designed to further incite a fear of guns. But I think the only thing it very clearly showed was how useless anti gun laws are.
Illegal conversions by criminals? Who would have thought? Did they not file with the ATF, first? That sounds criminal… oh, wait… 
This is one reason why I don’t think that untrained thugs with a “machine gun” will be much more dangerous in most situations than they are with any other kind of gun. They are just going to recklessly empty the gun even faster. Though I would probably find having a mag dumped in my direction pretty intimidating if I wasn’t behind some good cover.

Return of the machine gun illustrates the useless value of anti-gun laws. The prosecutors also contribute when they back away from charging known criminals for violating those same laws in favor of going after the easy “low hanging fruit” (called law abiding citizens).
Anyone who has fired a rifle on full auto, knows that making a pistol into full auto is only making it into a terror tool. Hitting the intended target is next to impossible and wastes a lot of cartridges which spray everywhere.
Tracing a firearm by SN only leads to the first purchaser. I challenge you to find a crime that has been solved by tracing other than on tv and movie make-believe.
The term “gun violence” is meant to distract people from “violence by criminals” and fool the low information voters.
