The SAVE America Act (Voter Integrity) Must Be Passed

Let’s not let facts get in the way of why certain people want to change the voting rules which would clearly put those with a changed name at a disadvantage. Nor create hoops to jump through just to exercise their right. Those who like Trump’s idea on voting only like it because he is telling them to like it, not because they have sat down and thought of all the problems with his solution because it does not impact them, so it’s obviously not an issue.

And there is no evedience of any actual.votoer fraud other than very isolated ones and twos people. Nothing even coming close to changing election results. Its all make believe to justify taking away voting rights of people likely to vote against white nationalism

WTAF?. Shariah law much? What pre woman’s suffrage world are you living in?

My mother (Godspeed) and my sister have had no such issues with proving citizenship, getting ID, passports, drivers licenses, and voting in spite of being wedded.

Trump’s bill would prevent those who have a different name than on their birth certificate from voting, you should look into that.

And Sharia law doesn’t look much different from MAGA law, just a heads up. Both want to control the population using Religion and Nationalism.

:ox::poop:, it requires proof of citizenship to register.

First paragraph….

This bill requires individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.

The whole thing about it forbids married women to vote because of a name change is a lie, our current system already requires a person who legally changes their name or address to renew their registration to vote with the updated information…. I don’t see where that changes under the SAVE act.

Do you need to re-register or change your registration?

No, if:

  • Your name and address have not changed, and you are an active voter.

Yes, if:

  • You have moved within your state or changed your name. Update your voter registration with your new location or your new name. Make sure you also update your state driver’s license or state ID card before the election, if that is the voter ID you will use.
  • You have moved permanently to another state. Register to vote in the new state.

Is your wife changing names every couple months? I thought you’d been married for some time,… and you haven’t bothered to update her info?

My 16yo son was able to figure out how to order a new copy of his birth certificate to get his drivers license, are you saying that nearly half the country is dumber than a 16yo?

That they’re incapable of submitting name change forms? Or resubmitting their voter registration?

Those are the current rules, thank you for sharing. Not Trump’s proposed rules which would prohibit someone from registering if their name does not match their birth certificate. Thank you for confirming our current system is sufficient and we don’t need new rules which would clearly prohibit those who can currently vote from voting in the future.

Feel free to site your sources.

A lot of what I’m finding are just sensationalist claims that people won’t be able to register for lack of access to proper documentation…..

yet that’s the same documentation that’s CURRENTLY REQUIRED in order to register to vote!

So, how can those people vote now, but not under the SAVE act?

Requires expiration dates on Tribal ID cards which most tribes don’t have, would not want them pesky Natives to vote now. Would require Birth Certificate name to match ID to vote, would not want those pesky women to vote. Would require states to provide Voter rolls to the Federal Government once a year even though states update those rolls 12 times a year. Really easy to show voter fraud when the Federal Government list shows dead people on it, even though they did not vote because they were dropped 30 days later by the state. How about we just use the rules you cited above that have worked for ever and you agree work.

Wow.

Just… wow.

@Papa_Zed, pull a Dave; just ask them to provide where illegal voting has ever changed a national election.
From a credible source, and people have gone to jail for it. Trump didn’t even go to jail for asking to find him 1600 votes. My guess is they are just scared that the liberals are smarter than they are at rigging an election; that is all it comes down to. Calling up asking for votes—yeah, smart, real smart.

To rational people.

That is such utter nonsense. It is very easy for a woman to change her name after marriage. In the entire history of the USA there has been no issue with that. It is no different today, nor after national voter iD. You should read the law, and not eat what Chuck, raw cheeseburger, Schumer is feeding you.

EXACTLY why we need voting reform, in addition to voter integrity measures.

The display of bigotry, racism, sexism, etc from the dissenters of the SAVE Act in this thread alone is astonishing.

What’s ironic is the reps that voted against in the house, had to put their congressional ID into the machine to vote no.

Can’t make this shidt up. Showing an ID didnt stop them

And the Democrats now saying they are against Jim Crow Laws. Only took 150 years… AFTER they enacted those laws. Yet, voter ID isn’t a Jim Crow law, but they know that, yet their minions mouthing their talking points on this site and eksewhere don’t have enough mental acuity to know that.
