That's good but on the other hand

It is important to get training to be safe, but your training can be used against you in a court of law. Oh, you are a veteran? Was your life really in danger? Can your training be turned against you in a court of law? Your lack of training can be used against you in a court of law.

Whether or not you do od don’t anything in the court it will be used against you. The fact you may end up in a court room means your training has paid off and you are not at your own funeral. So dang if you do and dang if you don’t!

Here is a lawyer’s video discussing this subject and there is some good material here too. What does this video make you think about?

That the justice system and World of Lawyers in this Country is entangled.
Even my haircut can be used against me when my neighbor finds it too destructive and crushes his car into my house. :person_shrugging:

You know, I’ve no problem with anybody giving their opinion… you have that right.
What I do have a problem with if anybody tries to question my training
If it’s good or bad as long as I am safe it’s nobody’s business and as long as
I am still alive after the smoke clears I will take my chances with whoever tries
to mess with me afterwards.
This is the MAIN reason I left my conventional indoor ranges.
If I wish to pop off a (30) round mag fast that’s MY business.
My outdoor range is chock-full of cops/DEA/Military of all flavors.
they are usually the one’s on full auto when they train/play @ that range.
So my little group blends in. And THAT is the way we like it.
Some indoor RO’s tend to be LIL Gestapo agents! If I’m being unsafe
you have my permission 24/7 to stop me. But otherwise back off Jack
and let me train. As long as I follow Range rules, leave me the hell alone.
As long as I am not disturbing other shooters leave me the hell alone.
We RESPECT each other in our little group , (20) ft berms isolate us from other groups.
We rent the space, we are allowed to train ourselves.
We police up our brass, and we leave our area litter free. We leave the place cleaner
than before we showed up. They like us because we are respectful
and considerate of other shooters. And most importantly we are always asked back.
When my Mentor say’s “Good Job” or gives a “Thumbs up” I know I am on the right track.
He is also a lawyer, the only one I trust. (amend that: I trust the (3) lawyers I contacted locally that belong to USCCA. I wrote those (3), told them about myself, and sent them copies of my License(s) and know if I have a shoot I will be calling one of them. They are good with all that.
And as Jersy just said above Lawyers/Justice system sucks (I may be paraphrasing a bit):zipper_mouth_face:
I could not listen to these lawyers…all I heard was blah blah blah blah blah and we cost $300+
an hour. The justice system is beyond corrupt! add to that the mostly democratic (that’s an oxy-moron)
Isn’t it? I want a USCCA lawyer in my corner , Against a Demon-cratic Soro’s backed DA.
Until then I don’t want to hear any mouth piece tell me anything! When it comes time to go to court to defend myself. I will put on a suit and let the mouth piece do all the talking. If he tells me to be quiet I will be quiet. Tell my side of the shoot, I will look the Jury in the eyes and be as clear and concise as possible.
After that it’s in GOD’s hands. I just hope I haven’t pissed him off beforehand.

So, you like Dirty Harry movies.

That can be used against you in a court of law.
