I doubt that you really think folks approaching and crossing the border should be killed. What do you really propose the US do? And what do you propose the US do with the undocumented immigrants already in the US?
Bear in mind, there are roughly 11.2 million illegal immigrants already in the country and around 600,000 DACA recipients. Compare that to the 1.2 million people currently incarcerated in US prisons and jails. So, if you propose rounding these folks up and imprisoning them, that would involve expanding the prison system by a factor of 10.

What do you mean by sealing the border? Does that mean stopping all the commerce that flows to and from Mexico? No more trucks carrying car parts or manufactured goods from Mexico or no more exports of US goods to Mexico? No flights carrying tourists to and from Mexico?
How will the hundreds of miles of border in the middle of nowhere be dealt with? How about the 11.2 million illegal aliens already here? Should they be hunted down and imprisoned in our prison system that currently holds only 1.2 million people? Expand the prison system by a factor of 10?
If you propose to stop all unvetted/unchecked immigrants, how will that happen? More immigration judges to handle the backlog and the volumes at the border?

So, I read your solution to use soldiers rather than Customs and Border Patrol agents to patrol the border, 'cause soldiers would do a better job. And donāt let anyone through. Correct? Not correct?
The US-Mexico border, according to Wikipedia, is 3,145 miles long. Any idea how many soldiers it would require to patrol that border and close it off to all crossings?
How about ocean routes? Say boats from Monterey to Mississippi. Who would handle that traffic, 'cause as soon as the land border is closed, migrants will attempt ocean crossings like they do in Europe.
Any idea why the migrants are leaving their homes and heading to the US?

My sister and her husband are die-hard Democrats (Beto OāRourke supporters) and they live in South Texas.
I speak with my sister regularly, and even though I vehemently disagree with her politics, we still manage to maintain cordial relations.
I recently asked her how she felt about the influx of illegal aliens at the Texas border and she shared her Left-leaning views.
She sincerely believes that these illegal invaders are coming here to make a better life for themselves and contribute to US society.
When I countered her opinion with my belief that these illegals are coming here for the freebees and welfare benefits, she dismissed my argument as being ridiculous.
My point is that there are many Americans who are wholly supportive of this illegal alien influx, and they represent a sizable political opposition to stopping this before the 2nd American Civil War begins.
