So the whole court file of this “Open Carry Ban” in Florida; what is this situation all about? legally.
Reading the case and potential law firms trying to explain it they over-explain and makes it confusing.
So getting straight to it with reliable and reputable sources; does this mean we can open carry or no?
I know before this case against the Florida State; “Open Carry Law” said open carry was legal if one was Camping, hunting and fishing; and when returning from such trips is it legal.
Yes, we should be able to open carry beginning Sept 25. However, what I plan to do is to wait until the law is officially changed. I would rather be safe than sorry.
This is the law to watch for changes (either wording or “stricken”).
Yes, open carry is officially the law of Florida, (basically, as I understand it, you can now open carry when and where you were legally allowed to conceal carry). All the existing carry location and qualificstion restrictions still apply, you just don’t need to conceal your firearm.
I believe this Thursday is the official day all LE agencies are supposed to follow the new rules. Some have stated they already are.
Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy the ride. To get straight to it with reliable reputable sources, “this” will always mean “this”, “we can open carry” will always mean “we can open carry”. I think it is a good idea to wait until Sept. 25. By then we will know what we can open carry means. Be well.
I guess this news bears a shout out to “Soloyaker”, The Armed Fisherman - Michael Taylor, a Florida man, father, husband, You Tube content creator. Although eccentric to me, as am I, tons of respect for his courage to be a “Jake from Statefarm” rights activist. From another fishing geek, here’s to you brother “Soloyaker”!
