Something new... but not expected

Surprise… :grimacing:

Who can guess what’s that?

Something that jams?

Another 1911 clone, with the usual silly-ass GRIP-safety?

Fits G19 holsters, has an internal hammer similar to an FN Reflex, its only $1,899.99, and its made by Wilson Combat. What’s not to like?

I’ll take the larger grip safety over the small, that little nub looks as though it would irritate the palm when practicing draws from the holster

The reason I named it “unexpected” is that actually I never expected Wilson Combat coming with such design. :grimacing:

The Company has always been known from their excellent 1911 line - especially the new designs of Double Stack and newest Division 77.

However I understand, perhaps Bill Wilson is trying to fit Customers’ needs for less expensive, production gun and that’s why Bulwark was created.

I’m far from criticizing, I haven’t shoot it yet, but first impression wasn’t great. Why? This handgun is complete opposite to my philosophy and reason I chose WC 1911DS pistol as my carry handgun.

  1. latest trend - no more grip safety. It is actually not needed these days and for most people it creates “failure-to-fire” issues. It cannot be adjusted and instead of being “safety feature” it’s more “dangerous feature”. Grip safety actually doesn’t prevent anything during handgun’s reholstering
  2. internal hammer - nothing I can use to avoid accidental / negligent discharge during reholstering. External hammer always gives spot where I can rest my thumb and lock it during reholstering and prevent accident.

Other than that - handgun is a handgun. As long as it shoots consistently without malfunctions - it’s a good tool.

… but not for me. :slightly_smiling_face:
