No seriously are you that stupid? Or are you just trying to be funny at my expense? On February 4, 2016 I visited my old neighbor in the South Side of Chicago specifically 101at & Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The turf now belongs to Latin Kings, formerly belonged to Black Disciples which I was unaware of the transition to the Latin Kings. I do not go to Chicago even though I was born there because it’s very dangerous but since I wasn’t there in decades I wanted to see the house I grew up in. After I was there some LK members surrounded me and I had to fight for my life, I lost my finger and I have learned been free of pain since the day it happened. Which by the way I was able to fight off as I said and I wrestled the dude’s gun from him before he got the second shot off. I wrestled the gun away and turned it on him. Their little group was surprised and I got out of there. I will never go back to Chicago again. I’m living in pain every day of my life from that day. My hand hurts every day of my life because I don’t use any pain medication because it makes my ears ring and constipates me. Please I don’t owe you any explanation but I’m giving you an explanation. Please stop trying to be Mr Funny, I am not interested, my wife an I are in CA at this time until the end of August. Please never contact me again or say something so hurtful to me again, it’s very unwelcomed. I will start posting again in the fall after we get home. You have no idea what my family have gone through since Christmas Eve 2019.

That all sounds terrible. I apologize for the poor attempt at humor.
One of the unfortunate side affects of communicating in text with a group of people you haven’t met in person is that you don’t know their whole story. Things said that were meant to be humorous are off base because we don’t know everyone’s history.
@Glock27ccw, I don’t think you meant to be offensive and @Robert8, thank you for sharing your experience. We all can learn from your quick thinking – even if it was unorthodox. Doing something unexpected can definitely make the difference between life and death.

I see so many mistakes. However, if after missing the opportunity to pull I kind of wonder if you go to the back room you pull and shoot when he comes to the back. That is assuming he comes to the back. It really all depends on being in the moment.
I was in a Situation similar to this one time. I was working for myself my employee had not made to work yet. 2 guys walks in one stays at the door the other looking around the shop comes to the counter. I am talking on the phone and yes you Instinctively know what’s coming. I was not carrying a gun on me, but my 1911 was under the shelf the phone was on.
I reached down brought the gun up, didn’t point it at him. Ask him if I could help him the both of them about crapped there pants. Door guy hit hisself with the door trying to get out. The other one about beat him out the door.
So if I am right there as soon as I see what is about to happen, I believe I would get his attention hand on gun half drawn. I think they would just leave. Also I never walk around the store arms loaded, gun hand always free. Same as if you don’t have one in the chamber why even carry.
And later in your scenario when the bad guy calls the cashier by name, no good outcome for that.
