Typically, it is best for weaver/mod-weaver shooters and small pistols w/concave trigger guard in larger hands. It works better for some folks and not for others. Give it a try if you have a pistol made for it.

Not a New Thing at all, it is just a tweak that I used to show to my trainees during our Autopistol Transition Class (from wheelgun-only) in 1987-89 at my old shop. We demo’ed Isosceles and Weaver without bias (both have their up- and down-sides) as the main course, and showed the off-hand index finger wrap are a deli option. The Class was 2 days and 500 rounds, almost entirely on the range so that the troops could get comfy with the new-system war toys.
It is not a tweak that I use, and not many of the trainees favored it.

Great work, plus you have mastered your grip to your needs. That P320 is a wonderful firearm and it
comes in different flavor too.
