Never seen it happen or had it happen and been using them for years.

Us Army General Scott Miller count?? Or Chuck Pressburg both US Army Delta force.

Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller walks with Gen. Scott Miller NATO, Resolute Support, Train Advise Assist mission commander in Afghanistan, Kabul, Afghanistan, Dec. 22, 2020. (Photo: DOD/Staff Sgt. Jack Sanders)

This photo from 2020 doesn’t show a comp or an enlarged magwell, but it does have a pretty big mag extension. (Photo: DOD/Jeffery J. Harris)

But in this 2021 picture you can pretty clearly make out a Zev comp and a little of what could be a mag funnel. Also you can get a pretty clear shot of the optic and rear sight assembly. (Photo: DOD/Lisa Ferdinando)

General Scott Miller is a shooter. Seen before with a modernized, practical-tactical 1911, it appears the high-ranking officer has switched to a late model Glock with some sweet upgrades.

Those same words were used years ago by people who said red dots on hand guns were strictly for competition and they would fail and break etc. Here we are years later and the naysayers are eating their words.

Also the Ontario PD in California issues Staccato XC handguns which are compensated to their entire department. I am familiar with shooting hcr with a comp and always seemed people somewhat exagerate the issues. If you are fighting for your life getting a little unburnt powder in the face is the least of your worries and i prefer to have any and all advantages i can have on my side, redots, comps, lights etc.

One acquaintance of yours means little to me setting his shirt on fire supposedly (would need to see video of that) but to each their own.

Good info in this aswell.

Hmmmm not sure… got nothing. But wondering how much alcohol may have been spilled over this T-shirt to catch on fire lol. But jumping in with my 1 and 3/4 cents for the OP. I happen to be a Taurus G3 series fan for striker fire.

That is hilarious, a delta force officer is not a shooter??? He didnt become delta by not shooting and that is clearly a compensator.

Ill get that video for you faster than you get that video with your mentor setting his shirt on fire.( unless its soaked with an accelerant). If shooting from retention properly i do not see how that is remotely possible. But as you said carry on.

You didn’t say what you are planning to do with it. Carry it, or play with it at the range? If carrying, suggest getting a fully stock “normal” gun. If you ever have to use it, you choice of gun will be highly scrutinized by a jury that knows nothing about guns.

I have an M&P40 and my friend has an M&P9 and M&P9 subcompact. I can’t recall either of us having any mechanical isssues in a couple thousand rounds. I recently got a CZ P-01 and love it, if a DA/SA is something your would consider.
