I ordered a dovetail optic adapter for my BG 2.0 from Galloway Precision. The adapter dovetail was a lot smaller than the rear sight dovetail. Tightening the setscrew raised the dovetail to the top of the slot, leaving a 1/16” gap at the bottom, and the front of the adapter was angled up, too high to zero the Burris FastFire C red dot. Galloway bases their specs on a sample of five new firearms of the same kind (like the BG 2.0) for a one-size-fits-all product. Apparently S&W changed the size of the dovetail slot on later models. Galloway is great on customer service and they’ll send a refund, but they don’t do custom work. I can’t send my slide to them for a custom fit.
If any members know of another reputable adapter resource, please let me know. Thank you.
