Seems like a fair assessment, and I agree that this was probably not a typical road rage scenario.
As a class A CDL driver, Iâm typically pretty good at reading traffic and other drivers actions, so I donât wind up in a road rage situation often.
When I do, I smile and wave at them (pisses them off)
I also ready my weapon, in case they try to take things to the ground (PIT maneuver in the video)
As a direct response to the question of when I would call 911 in that video?
First, Iâd have readied my gun after the initial ramming.
Once they came back and rammed me again and actually stopped my vehicle, Iâd open fire (cars are lethal weapons and two intentional rammings shows violent intent)
Once the shooting is over,âŠ. THEN I would call 911, and an attorney.

Wow. IDK. Unique. Curious if we know the story behind it all.
I donât agree with the risky/dangerous driving on both parts/sides but admire how the gray car kept safe. Strong windows or plastic gun handle? IDK, but I want those windows.
To get away, does a driver always have to âspeedâ? I better install my car cameras. Personally, I feel more hesitant to use a firearm amidst traffic, too many unknowns, while trying to drive away or to the police station while on the phone with 911.
But if that perpetrator tried to break my car window with his gun after crashing me into a corner, whoah, now that is a very dangerous move.

I donât think the SUV driver had much of an opportunity to dial 911 while being rammed. He may have had an opportunity before the video started. I would call 911 as soon as stuff got real.
I would stay in the vehicle with my pistol at low ready. If I saw I firearm in the black car I would get my sight picture and remove the threat.
As it played out once he arrived at my closed window my pistol would pointed at he chest and I would politely say âcan I help you?â Depending on his answer to that he may live to Rob on another day.

Theyâd have fun trying to pit my F-250 Power Stroke. If they did somehow block me, I have enough torque to open a path through them, or monster truck over them. Iâm not picky.
If they approach the truck, I shoot until threat is stopped, call 911, and then call USCCA.
Oh, and tell my camera to save the video.

Road rage is one of the assist ways of getting killed nowadays.
This happened minutes before my son, his family and my wife (we were all in the same car coming back from lunch) and I went through that intersection. Some dumbass 18 year old gangbanger with a pistol. Witnesses say they heard him laugh as he fled the scene.
This is a NICE area of Phoenix. We were stuck in traffic and finally had to do a U-Turn and find a detour. Way too common nowadaysâŠ

I would be on the phone with 911 as soon as I realized the guy in the black car was locked in on me and not accepting my attempts to get out of their way. I wouldnât wait for the first contact to call unless it came without warning. I can hands free call from my phone or watch.
After they hit me the first time with their vehicle I would be using my vehicle against theirs in self defense if I didnât see a clear opportunity to get away safely. Best to not let someone who is trying to knock you off the road succeed, as this incident shows.

Stuart, I donât have the power stroke, but I do have the F-250 with the 7.3L gas and like you not much unless it is bigger is going to push it around.

That is my primary thinking. I donât expect LEOs to get there in time to save me in a situation like this but I want to make sure they know I am the victim when they do finally get there.
Might also help get an ambulance there a few precious moments quicker for anyone who may end up needing it.

Thatâs good because you donât have any hands left to use a firearm.
I donât think I would want him that close. But then again, I didnât speed, I didnât want to use my firearm. I may be dead if he just decided to shoot me through the window. But they can always say I didnât speed.
