Road rage, gun pulled

Just ordered one;)

Sometimes it can be hard to discern the short polite honk from the long rude honk. And sometimes the short polite honk doesn’t get the persons attention. Would be nice if cars came with two horn sounds. The “excuse me please/look out” sound and the “get out of my way/off the road!!!” sound. Then we would all instantly know if it is polite person or jerk honking at us.

I think anytime someone points a gun at me it is self defense and I will defend myself.

I never use my horn but my wife lays on the horn for everything.

Hopefully she doesn’t get you into a road rage situation! Though asking her to not beep at idiots might get you in just as much trouble;)

It is one of our biggest arguments, hopefully she will learn and it will not take another 30 years. :joy:

Great movie. No more honking for me. The other guy might be having a horrible day, or be 95, or be 16 with a learner’s permit with Mom or Dad.

Welcome to the community @Gregory52

Even the best of us can make a mistake from time to time. No sense making people feel worse than they likely already do.

Welcome aboard @Gregory52

Laying on the horn after someone pulled a bonehead move is tantamount to taking a shot at our attacker after he/she has started to run away. IMO

I stay off my horn. The End. Too many nutbars and predators running around loose and unsupervised these days.

With you 100%. Although you might get a warm fuzzy feeling laying on the horn, there is a higher percentage that there will be a negative reaction.

First mistake, judging the driving as mere recklessness. Having been called to the the home of or the ER for my aunt and father countless times in the last two years of their lives (four consecutive years!) I’ve been guilty of distracted driving and some super stupid moves. Rule #1, give everyone the benefit of the doubt & your anger automatically abates, which is so much better for your mental health. Rule #2, if you forget Rule #1, remember people pull guns these days, it is better for your long term health to let the Highway patrol handle it.

True that. So not worth it.

I love it when the light turns green and the CEO behind me lays on his horn because I wasn’t accelerating immediately. I’m not a grandpa driver by any means. So you know that guy’s an idiot or bully. I just ignore stupid people.

You can avoid the confrontation by not honking!

But the honking is not a reason to have a gun pulled on you… :smirk:

Agreed. My response was to the comment that they could not have avoided this confrontation. It appears the honking prompted the brandishing. That’s all. The brandishing was NOT justified.

@Donald187 :+1: I got it. Thx for explanation. The good thing is we agreed on whole situation.

These days people behave and react irrational.
I still remember times, when we honked on each others and then waved, made thumb up and proceeded with driving… what changed then?

Looks the “anger management” should become mandatory at schools… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The aggressor was a bully! He figured he can show what he has and what he MIGHT do!! Well he got lucky that the other person wasn’t carrying and went into defense mode! They would of been picking him up if he had a victim with a different mindset!! Besides being armed, I have a dash cam!
