RIP ... Anderson Manufacturing

ARs with Anderson stamped on them are about to become another piece of firearms history. I don’t know what other products they made?

I feel bad to be a vulture but I am thinking maybe pick up some Ruger stock Monday morning? What do you investor types think?

“Ruger has announced that they have purchased the company and will not be continuing the name.”

It’ll be a curiosity as to how Ruger handles all things Anderson going forward. Will they honor issues covered under warranty? Will they use the facility to make Anderson arms under the Ruger name or retool to Ruger specs? Things like that have me wondering. I, being a Ruger fan from way back (1st handgun purchased new was a P94. Still have it: still love it) I expect good things from the acquisition but you never know

Well that’s just disrespectful to all of the people who bought things in good faith.

In my world when things like this happen people jump in and buy up all of the spares and such from the original or new owners, then sell them at a premium…

If Ruger is thinking ahead, they’d retain parts from the sale and sell them directly. Shame the warranty for Anderson goes defunct.

I’m surprised Ruger’s not keeping the brand the way they kept Marlin alive.
But, this Ruger fan boy isn’t complaining.

Sucks to see anderson go, got a couple of their lowers for budget builds. Decent but you get what you pay for
