That is not uncommon these days. Most people think Russia is still communist.
Russia is a federation, which is why they call it “The Russian Federation.” It is a federation and the most diverse country on the planet.
They do not have a Bill of Rights, nor Freedom of Speech.
Neither do we anymore.
Ukraine is the second most corrupt country in the world. Mexico is the first.
Ukraine was not in fact invaded by Russia. But Russia has decided to deNAZIfy and demilitarize Ukraine and to ensure NATO nor nukes get placed in Ukraine, inside Ukraine’s border with Russia.
When Vladimir Putin became president of the newly formed Russian Federation in 1999, he explained to NATO and the US that NATO nor nuclear expansion to the borders of Russia would be tolerated and would be considered an act of war.
Just before 24 February 2022, Volodomir Zelensky, already an illegitimate Ukrainian president at that time, told Putin, “F’ you, buddy, we’re joining NATO right now and gettin’ nukes on your border.”
Putin responded with his Special Military Operation.
