We are making a difference. They are hearing our message.
Let me seeâŠreasons to carryâŠ
HmmmâŠ
It is my RIGHT to carry.
âA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringedâ.
He who controls the wordâŠ. We regular old reasonably normal American Citizens that covet, own, carry, shootâŠ. firearms have been labeled. We are Extreme MAGAitâs, We are lunatics, We are Red Necks etc. The real world facts about American Citizens with guns have been removed, hidden, buried and exchanged for crap like âguns kill our kidsâ type of narratives.
I have seen signs that the world is seeing it our way. I think we are making a difference. Donât give up yet.
Support the 2A group or groups of your choice.
Winning court battles spreads the facts!
We see it on here occasionally. âI donât want anyone to know I own a gunâŠâ folks that feel they need to sneak around and hide in plain sight. Then I for one but others I know, you go to there house you will see a firearm or at least obvious evidence that they are there. Iâm not about broadcasting it, Iâm about normalizing it.
A work friend of mine is a 10 year Army combat vet. His home office has a wall full of various patriotic memorabilia, including an antique flintlock pistol. During a zoom meeting once someone complained that there was a gun visible in the frame. Now itâs gone from his wall. Sad.
Greetings, @Mike164, itâs been a while. Glad you are well and still an integral part of this forum.
Normally, Iâd just agree, but while reading your post it appears that you didnât say all that you wanted to say here. So, I thought Iâd wait til you finished. Then again, maybe itâs me. At any rate, good to see your post.
Not knowing the specific reason for your friendsâ rearrangement of his war wall; itâs sad when societal pressures cause one to acquiesce to its will. Rarely does anyone win a social media argument. So, what do you do? In this case, depending on the purpose of his zoom meeting, it just may have been the prudent thing to do in order to forward or achieve his overall agenda. Just maybe.
I think people are hesitant to let people know they carry is they donât want to be punished for their good deeds.
âŠor could it be that depending on their status or stature in the community of their influence, it could have negative impact as far as perceptions are concerned? Today, we live in a world of perceptions, and social media is a major force. People tend to be more concerned about âlikes and followersâ on social media because thatâs where they live their lives and is what influences their behavior. If your circle of friends (screen friends) are âantiâ this or that, which may be a factor, perhaps itâs time for new ones?! But at its root, concealed carry is just that, âconcealed.â You donât know and I ainât telling! And with your real friends, you ainât gotta!

Concealed
If you see my gun printing through an opaque covering ( shirt) my gun is still concealed.
And you havenât seen my gun,
you have a suspicion or a reasonable belief that I may have a gun, but thatâs all you have by some outline of something you perceive through a shirt.
It is no longer concealed when you actually see the actual weapon.
Certainly CC is private and should be private. I speak more about, I will talk guns in a general conversation, not denieing either the good or the bad. Guns are out there they are normal, their mere existence is not evil.
Youâd probably be surprised at the number of those who donât know that!
In 2020 firearms sales increased considerably. The buyers were Black/Afro-Americans. The focus now is on safety and security; not name calling.
And keeping a positive perspective.
I have been told a number of times that if you are ever attacked with deadly force or with the threat of great bodily injury, it will probably happen when you donât expect it. It probably wonât be in that âbad neighborhoodâ, or on your walk passing a weird neighbor with a grudge. Or when your alert to a threat. NO, it will most likely come out of the blue somewhere you donât expect and by someone you didnât expect.
This is why you should carry always and train for that possible day you hope never happens they say.
That is why situational awareness is so important. If it is going to come out of the blue donât be near the blue and it wonât come out of the blue. The more one focuses on situational awareness the more natural it becomes.
