Range targets - show them off!

Course being a .22LR out of a 20” barrel there’s no real kick or boom :stuck_out_tongue:

What was the distance? What are you using? What did you see? What did you learn?

Looks good though! We want to learn from our targets and see what we can learn from it.

GLOCK 17 Gen 4 , STOCK nothing added but a TLR-1 on bottom Nite Eyez sights . While moving in a rapid pace Left to right and right to left,to simulate a fluid situation . Obviously the target can’t move so I did. Federal American Eagle 147 grain ammunition . I learned need to tighten up group some. To answer question of guy below I am a 20 year LEO and USPSA member. Practice for matches and protect the public as I swore to do.Why GLOCK 17 Gen 4 that is what I carry on Duty issued by department. I bought my own ( this one) in 2016 so I would be familiar. We had switched from S&W .38 Specials . Thanks for complimenting

Its even more fun when a chain breaks,… the. It’s swinging AND spinning! Will it be 12x18” target? Or 1/4x18” target when the bullet gets there? Or just aim for the second chain and have an actual reason to head back downrange :rofl::rofl:

22x30x1/2”

Standard 12x20 and my proper silhouette

Now to go back to the range and blast that pretty paint back off of them!:grin::grin:.

Eventually…. Probably not this weekend as it’s supposed to rain tomorrow

Isn’t this a best way to really test yourself? Worse conditions, better chance to find your limitations. :upside_down_face:

Yea, we go out in December, snow, wind, cold. It’s fu… well not that fun. We find that shooting with frozen hands feet and ears kind sucks… But, we still do it.

Aside from the insane winds out on the plains when the weather kicks up here, it turns into a muddy swamp out where I head out to….. getting stuck 20 miles from nowhere is out of the question for me.

It’s at least 4 miles of barely maintained county roads, some are not maintained at all…. And I’m not gonna walk 1000 yards out to set and retrieve my 90 pound plate….. over landing in the mud on BLM national park land is definitely frowned upon by the rangers, and myself.

I’m not happy about the result… hopefully will be better after some time.
I pushed myself to empty 15rd magazine in less than 10 seconds from 15 yards.

I thought it would be an easy task… but different ball sizes and colors messed up my eyes. :grimacing:

EDIT:
I found my excuse → I wasn’t shooting Staccato :face_with_tongue:
