Range targets - show them off!

I’ve started keeping a couple of rounds of snake ammo with me.

So how well do they work for you?

Haven’t had to use any. I started carrying snake ammo because I was walking my dog past my neighbor’s house. Their kids were in the yard and there was a Copperhead less than 10 feet from them.

I got them out of the yard and killed the snake.

I bought some snake ammo last month, now I have a Brawler for the same thing. Finding a holster for it is another thing.

When I lived on 10 acres, I had a holster on my riding lawn mower for my little break open 410 “snake charmer”. I would always see rge rattlesnakes while doing the yard

It’s 6/5, or according to multiple vendors that want to sell me more ammo, “6.5 Creedmoor Day.” So here’s the results of shooting my favorite caliber a few days back.

1800 Yards, 16” AR600 Steel

It’s a pretty day and these were tempting me.

Started at 20 yards then 10 then 3 from the hip and finally 7 yards off hand.

A female neighbor asked if I got them all? I said:

They ran through the briars
They ran the bushes
They ran through places a rabbit couldn’t go
They ran so fast the hounds couldn’t catch’m
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
:joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy::rofl:

Oh, we’re the boys from Camp Cucamonga
Our mothers sent us here for to study Nature’s ways
We learn to make sparks by rubbing sticks together
But if we catch the girls then we’ll set thewoods ablaze

Getting ready to renew my CCW. Yeah, it’s been 4 years already. In New Mexico, we can carry concealed up to the caliber we qualify with, so I upgraded from 9mm to .45 this year. Practice 25 shots below; I swear I hit the target more than it looks…

As I go back to review my original qualification target, I can definitely attest, hanging out with you all has been good for me.

It poured rain last night, and there was no one out on the muddy BLM land today. So I had a pristine and cool range all to myself.

Shooting at a letter-page sized target from 680 yards here. But what’s cool is I captured the bullet trace arc, slowed down for your viewing pleasure.

(Score for this session, 7 out of 10.)

Very nice. I just cant see good enough to reach out there 600+, even with good optics. So I’ll cover your 6, your reach out and touch the ones coming over the hill.
