Exactly. Targets with holes in them are analytical tools containing data. This particular set of data showed me: 1) I can shoot as well or better without the pinkie extension, so my EC9s is a little easier to conceal comfortably and 2) I am either not drawing my finger straight back on the trigger, or my left thumb is not providing enough support.
That data and corresponding analysis gives me something to study during my daily morning dry-fire exercises.
All to be better at the craft.

You need to work on learning how to fully isolate your trigger finger from the rest of fingers.
Looking at the targets it seems your pinky is moving along with trigger finger causing worse grouping and lower hits.
Worse grouping also indicates that your grip is not consistent… perhaps because you mostly shoot without mag extension?

I usually shoot with the extension. I’m trying to determine if I can eliminate the extension for better ability to carry concealed. I’m pretty sure I can.
And thanks for the analysis on my trigger fingers and the rest of the fingers. Very helpful observation!

You are lucky shooting better without mag extension. Most people need that extension to shoot better but it always compromise concealability.

Well, my hands aren’t humongous, and I’ve got a Hogue grip on the gun, so all that helps.

Levi2 Jerzy Made you blink that is so kool I shoot at one ENCH squares and that is how you get the ten ENCH target to be much much LARGER WHEN YOUR TWENTY FEET AWAY SO THATS WHAT THEY SAY IT DOES WORK FOR ME ONE ENCH AT TWENTY FEET AWAY AND THEN THE TEN ENCH TARGET IS MUCH MUCH LARGER AMEN GRATE SHOOTING BROTHER AMEN

What I mean by a brick is my 357 magnum was Making my hips hurt like I had a center BLOCK ON EACH SIDE OF MY HIPS AND I HAD ON SUNPENDERS TO HELP HOLD MY GUNS UP AFTER SHOPPING ALL DAY THE PAIN IS A KILLER HAW HAW HUMOR

Trigger reset is the point in your trigger travel (after a shot is fired) that the trigger will reset and you can fire another round. Most people will fire a round and release the trigger to travel all the way forward, which will result in extra travel. The trigger will reset before it travels all the way to the forward position.
When you are at the range, you can fire a round and hold the trigger to the rear, then slowly release the trigger. When it clicks (with some pistols you can feel it in the trigger as well) it is reset and no more forward motion is necessary. When it resets, you can apply a little pressure to the trigger and it will fire another round.
After practicing this and getting a feel for where the trigger resets, you will be able to speed up your shots. Trigger reset will improve your accuracy and allow you to make quicker follow up shots.

Could that be what happened with me after I was pulling the trigger and I mean I had some very bad guys with guns Amin at me and I had my gun pointed at them and I truly was standing in my front yard and they were in the monster truck and we were about to shoot each other and they decided to drive away so thank GOD I went back in my home and I took out my gun and I barely touched the trigger and I had it pointed at the floor and it went off ,!!S&W , 40, millamiter an I had never fired IT I had just bought it the day before the bad guys came by and they had been drinking and that was KARZY but I have not used that gun for anything after that could the spring been stuck:question: truly Bobby Jean

From now on I only carry a fire arm with a hammer so no spring that I can not see ever ever does that to me I had to reset my shorts. Very very terrible experience And have never had any one else come to our home acting stupid I talked to one of the men in that truck the next week and he said they thought I was SUEASIDELL AND I TOLD HIM NO I WAS NOT I WAS GOING TO LET THEM SHOOT ME BEFORE I SHOT THEM AND THATS HOW CLOSE THAT ORDEAL ALL MOST TURNED IN TO A TRAGEDY AND I WAS JUST STANDING IN MY YARD WATERING MY YARD ! And yes I had on my gun i if any thing good came from that no one has ever came back to my moms home being stupid had they shot me the driver was just as dead as me GOD IS GREAT AND I AM VERY BLESSED Bobby Jean stand your ground
