Quit jerking the trigger!![]()
One of these days I’ll hang a fresh one before I shoot ![]()
It’s left even with slow rate. I pushed the front sight a little left, and we’ll see if it fixes the issue. I used a brass punch to tap it over a hair, so hopefully I didn’t mess up the tritium
. I guess if I did, it’s a perfect time to upgrade to the big dot lol
The question is if the sights were not centered… or you just got a tendency to push the trigger to the left, not “finishing flat”… ![]()
Usually any fix works, if gives required results… but correcting wrong techniques, that can be learned and practiced to be good, is not a great idea. ![]()
I know my EDC is slightly low in respect to the sites so I compensate. My alternate is slightly left so when I use it I compensate. Probably not the sanitary solution but it works for me.
Mine is perfectly zeroed at 50 ft. What I’ve noticed, when I move and shoot (especially laterally) I have a tendency to shoot low, so I always aim a little bit higher.
But this is not something that I’d like to correct changing Red Dot zero.
I went to the doctor yesterday and decided to go shoot. I was in a pretty severe amount of pain. I got to the range and shot a magazine. It was terrible, so I tried another magazine l. It was terrible, so I tried one last magazine. It was terrible. I had to acknowledge that it was me, and not the gun. Felt like crap, but I knew any changes I made to my mechanics, were not going to be beneficial. So I left.
Went back today and shot so much better.
So now you know your limitations. ![]()
But seriously it’s a great idea to visit the range and test yourself in different mood. I’m trying to keep shooting no matter how do I feel and found out that the worst results are when I don’t shoot for week or so. And it’s not about being rusty. I dry fire every day, my work style allows me to do this and I treat it as relaxing time. The problem is that live firing experience is completely different than dry fire. Even the technique, moves, trigger press are exactly the same… the holes in the paper are not where I’m expecting them.
Then after one mag everything comes to the normal.
Bad mood, pain or anger can be controlled and with engraved technique each of us should be able to defense her / himself. You just need to know what are the limits.
Went to a range where I could stretch out my range a little. This was 350 yards with a new Ruger SFAR and a Vortex scope.
I can’t wait for good weather out here, we found a spot that we can get out to 3/4 of a mile.
