Range targets - show them off!

Due to many things including recovering from hand surgery, it has been too long since I’ve been to the range. Weather has been terrible for outdoor range, so I went indoors yesterday.

I had three objectives, dial in windage on the 300 Blackout, test fire the MAB Model A 25Cal/6.35mm Pistolet I worked on (MAB Model A 25Cal/6.35mm Pistolet), and exercise the Browning 1911-22.

I would call the 300 Blackout windage dial-in a success. The last 3 shots are on the center line. I will dial in elevation at the outdoor range.

Next was the MAB. This has to be the absolute worst shooting pistol I’ve ever fired! I started out at 5 yards. I must of been hitting the cardboard somewhere - there was not one bullet hole to be seen on the target. This is the best group I got at 5 feet - yes, 5 feet!

Finished up the day with 60 rounds thru the 1911-22. I had 5 targets to choose from, so shot one shot at a target and moved to another over and over as quickly as I could till slide lock back. Dropped magazine, reloaded, and repeated - 3 mags x 10 = 30 shots. I then changed to point shooting from high ready still selecting a different target at random.

It was a good day.

Edit: Forgot to post photo of one of several light strikes experienced with the MAB. After waiting an appropriate amount of time, it was a hold-your-breath moment ejecting them knowing the ejector is the firing pin on this pistol design. All other light strikes fired on the 2nd go round. Inconclusive if it was ammo or the pistol at this point. I am advising the owner I would shoot this one with caution at the range and would not rely for self-defense. She already has other reliable hardware …
