The vendor’s video makes it look like it would be difficult for me to open in a stressful situation. Here are links to couple of threads written regarding the Stopbox:
I’m considering getting a stop box. For years I’ve gotten the ads and figured it was just a gimmick, but after doing more research it seems like it’s actually a decent product. I’ve used a quick access safe for years, love it, BUT I’m traveling more with the family this year and many nights I’ll be staying at a different home. The quick access safe is pretty heavy and I still like having it at my home.
Pros- light weight, no batteries, keys or combos. Get the gun quick in a pinch.
Cons- seems …
I have a question for the community. I have recently purchased a Stopbox to carry a pistol in my truck. The stopbox uses a thumb bd four finger combination to open and close. The Stopbox comes with extra keys so the combination of fingers with the thumb can be changed. additionally, it has a place for an additional conventional type lock. MY question is: Is the Stopbox an acceptable means to carry a pistol in California?
Thank yyou
I’ve been looking at a few biometric nightstand or wall mount safes for single handguns. What are some pros and cons? I have Grandchildren visiting and always place my guns in the regular safe before they get here, but then there’s nothing within reach for me either. Ideas? Pro/Con?
Might be worth paying the restock fee for something you aren’t going to use?
