If it’s “snowflake” worthy, you’ll get the ultimate like. Your very own private message. explaining the community rules!
We’re not as free as we think to express ideas as we would think in a 2A community!
Then there’s the epitome of “likes”, it’s called banishment! Some of you may have noticed my declining in responses, we’re not fighting, we’re responding, with kindness and memes, the “right and righteous” have been silenced. There’s nothing we can do. I’ve heard the VOTE, VOTE VOTE thing, you can’t win against a cheat if you allow them to continue to sit at the table!

I am one who is guilty of this. I often forget to hit the like button when I do like something, or feel unsure if I have to agree with the entire post just to like part of it. I came late, and very hesitantly, to even this form of social media, but I do think I underestimated the value of giving likes. It’s not just about popularity but here, it’s about knowing if others agree, or if you have the right idea.

Constantly trying to do better with it. (in fact, let me go like this topic right now! )

The last time I tried to get some likes, I was told they were out of stock, AGAIN!

I agree this is probably one of the most beneficial uses of the like button.

For instance if you post some advice like:

“Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door.”

and no one likes your post, then maybe you might want to reconsider if your idea is a good one.

Though while the above advice would only be given by someone who is completely unqualified to make any decisions on the topic of firearms and self defense, not getting any likes doesn’t necessarily mean your idea is a bad one. Sometimes good ideas are unpopular. Same for getting a whole bunch of likes. Sometimes popular ideas aren’t very good. It’s important to think critically and not just blindly follow the heard.

Some posts are so, I don’t have the words,…
Such as the current “Crime in Action” post, how can I possibly give that a like and if I were to respond in words well…
