Interesting that the person arrested was a convicted felon and obviously should not have had a firearm.

I can’t believe I’m reading this. So a 1978 offender who served prison or otherwise was incarcerated for a Wisconsin crime was adjusting his firearm through his pants and it inadvertently fired police were called to the scene.
Please tell me this is a badly written script for a pre-Halloween terrible movie?
Apparently neither one had life threatening injuries. So how does this end? Did the non-convicted felon press charges? Was the felon given an eye bond and comes to court on the day of court? I’m guessing the gun is in evidence now but if Milwaukee is like Chicago you can buy a gun and ammunition on the streets within minutes. How does this story end?
Well @Robert8, it all depends on the locale, the prosecutors and the judge. From one side, a felon with a gun should be on the top of the list for those who fight for tougher gun regulation. But then, there is the other group who are criminal justice reform advocates, calling for emptying the prisons.
But wait, they are all the same people! I guess it all depends on if the gun used was a fully semiautomatic high capacity assault weapon with an attached weather vane and rain guage.

But you’re probably right between the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center it’s a utopian plot from the do-gooders, everybody’s happy except us people who are going to be their next victims and should be worried.
Ahh, you know years ago criminal element didn’t use or want guns because if they were caught or when they were caught they didn’t want an extra gun charge on their wrap sheet but I guess with the advent of liberal Democrat judges it’s all different now. But this Con diddling his gun 
Ya know… I’m thinking that part of that Utopian Plot ought to be… Free Gun Safety Training for Bad Guys. I mean, once that utopia is in place, they’ll be the only ones with guns anyway. And you know the mantra… if it saves a single life…
