I finally pulled the trigger on my first suppressor for a 5.56 AR build. Just fired mag in the back yard. No nosey neighbor peeked out a window,I’m impressed. It ain’t Hollywood quiet but much quieter than before. This probably isn’t going to be the last one.
No can will suppress the supersonic crack of a bullet.
But it sure tones my Tavor down a whole hell of a lot!
And wait until you use one with a subsonic round!
Still not Hollywood quiet, but definitely a good addition to any firearm!
Throw it on a .22lr semi and you’ll be cracking up, and listening while someone else is shooting is even better.
My latest set up is a Stribog sp9a3g, 9 mm, Glock mags, with a Silencerco Omega45k. I put the can on before taking a first shot. Took the shot, thought “louder than expected, but not bad, not bad at all.” Then I noticed my ear pro sitting on the bench . I love shooting steel or the plywood backstops at my club suppressed as having a quieter gun let’s you hear the hits a lot better. Put a can on a guys semi auto .22 rifle, and it was hilarious. The only sound I heard was the action and then the target.
I would love to put a can on my M&P 15-22! That gun is a riot to shoot to begin with!
Make it quite too?
Thinking the can on your Tavor would work, assuming 1/2-28 direct thread.
From the little I’ve seen of suppressed.22lr semi autos, one pistol, one rifle, they ran fine throwing a can on them with no modifications. Great fun was had as well.
