OK... I blew it... Please defend me

I seriously didn’t know that my presence in this community was such a big deal. Thank you. I am humbled to know that the folks here really want and look forward to my input. Now if you would all stop trying to make me feel guilty for being busy, that would be nice, too.

It should be said that I place an incredible amount of trust in the moderators and the discussion leaders who use this community. I see what you do and how you engage… not every day… but often enough. And it is truly great to know that you folks don’t NEED me… but it feels good to know you want me hanging around. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Yes, we need you. And no, don’t feel guilty. Busy is good !

Your lack of presence here is justified. You are doing great job with CC Magazine and videos. Keep this that way ! :muscle:

So… hopefully we hear from you next January? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Happy 2022 then.

Kevin,
It’s not you fault. NATO adopted the 9X19 mm, thanks to Stone for pointing out it is really .355X.754. For those that are not familiar a millimeter is .0395 inch. I remember that fabricating replacement parts on an inch lathe for European machinery. Back to not your fault, we appreciate all your work, I enjoy your videos and hope the less experienced folks get your messages, especially about safe firearm handling. I absolutely enjoy all the knowledge the USCA and it 's members provides.
We also adopted 5.56X45 and of course the Russians made a 5.54x39, and their 7.62 is not really .308 it is a little bigger in diameter, and the case size is totally different from our 7.62x51, (both the 7.62X39 and 7.62X54R). Before I quit rambling I will add just started handloading the 9X19. Always been a .45ACP shooter until trying to master the strikers. I crunched four of the small pistol primers in the first run of a hundred. I suppose from being used to having to apply more pressure to the large pistol primers to obtain a proper seat in the case.

Well, that’s never happened before! How. Can. This. Be??? :smirk: NP, Feces Happens! Carry on and more Into The Fray!!! :+1: @KevinM , We have your 6!

Hardly a threat to Western Civilization. But while we are on the Nomenclature Fetish, WHICH 9 x 18 did you stumble over–the 9 x 18 Ultra (.355" bullets) or the 9 x 18 Makarov (.364" +/-) bullets. Trivia enthusiasts the world over are waiting with bated breath…

Hey Kevin don’t worry what people say , some live to bash people on typing errors, we all have or will, don’t beat yourself up. You meant no harm an corrected it asap so you’re all good.

I think Putin did it already. I found this in “secret” Community log:

Уважаемый господин Михаловски. Большое вам спасибо за то, что вы дали понять американцам, что снаряд 9X18 - лучший в мире. Я очень ценю это и попрошу Правительство России наградить вас медалью Героя Российской Федерации.

Hey, you know that USCCA guy? The one who has forgotten more about self defense than I will ever know? The one who haunts my nightmare self defense scenarios to let me know just how badly I screwed up?

Yeah. He made a mistake. Think I should make a big thing about it?

Yeah, I didn’t think so either.

I didn’t know you had to be dumb to sleep with dogs. Is that a real thing? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That’s ok, I’m sure we all understand. Your only human and no one person is perfect. Just keep on doing what you do. And for the rest that say your dumb better look at their self before making stupid statements. Just saying we all mess up and we don’t live in a perfect world. That’s why we have to care about each other. Taking care of our family, friends and others around us is so important. and that’s why we carry, because our world is not perfect.

After all the years and knowledge you have. After all the education that I have recieved from you articles and videos. Your still the same guy you was before that tiny mistake, your still the MAN!!
If you or any instructor have not admitted to your mistake then that would give me cause not to follow or listen too you.

A whole lot of respect with your honesty!!

So you made a little mistake. It really was a little mistake. A while back I was at the range practicing with m 9x19 I had gone thru a box and was going to finish off what remained of another box. After shooting 9 rounds, the tenth didn’t load properly. Every thing seemed to check out okay so I fired another ten and again the tenth wouldn’t seat. Hmm. I looked at the cartridge box and on it I had written .380. The box was an empty 9 mm box that at some time I had put in some .380’s and I thinking they were 9’s had fired them apparently with no damage to the gun. Big mistake or little? The mistakes we walk away from with no harm are learning mistakes. I enjoy your videos Kevin and will continue to make more. The only other suggestion I can offer is, Get in front of the camera with your back to the camera, bend over and offer the other cheek. ; ) Gost from Mt.

Unfortunately, the Internet world is full of uppity know-it-all’s. Those with their noses up, and their heads in their asses. No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. So being man enough to admit a mistake is a wonderful trait in a person. I admire you for being a man of integrity. Good on ya brother. So, take a deep breath, and continue forward. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are teaching so many people the world of safe gun use. How to be safer in this crazy world. So many good things. So ignore those who are not willing, or able to forgive. They live in the wrong world.

You didn’t blow it… Your human.
I knew exactly what you meant. I watched that video with my four year old granddaughter, we both enjoyed it. Keep up the good work! :+1: :+1: :+1:
