They sound almost exactly like the hunter killer robots from Terminator. That has to be low key terrifying.

I read some articles about the fiber optics drones a long time ago when they were being developed and practically the same thing entered my mind. I thought the research had been discontinued. To me it was like flying model planes in the old days before radio control. It was fun building the planes and getting them flying but I got tired of spinning around in circles while flying it. Even though the string is a lot longer, it is still a string.
