On a positive note, my hard rock favorite Deep Purple shared this photo. AI says it remained just that, a “rumor.” Imagine if it were true, a collaboration between two artists who should’ve been born in the Renaissance era…
Deep Purple Trivia, NOT a rumor: In August 1970, Christopher Cross filled in for Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar at a Deep Purple concert in San Antonio, Texas. Blackmore had fallen ill from a flu shot, and the promoter asked an 18-year-old Cross to sub in to avoid canceling the band’s first-ever US show.
