Looking to purchase a firearm, but how to check legal status of said firearm?

Give him 1/2 of the MSRP

I have a 19.5 I’ll sell you. :grinning:
After shooting my PDP and PDP-F I don’t think I will be using it anymore.

@Daniel538 Welcome to the community! Check the serial number to make sure it’s not a reported stolen firearm.

thank you. Happy to be a part of this, and thats the plan. I used a ā€œcrowd sourcedā€ website ironically called ā€œHotgunsā€. its not a National System so to speak, an it showed good on that site. but im still going to reach out to a FFL

I won all the 19’s and a PDP.

I suggest picking whatever two or three drills you personally think are the most relevant to concealed carry handgun performance, and do them on a shot timer directly comparing the two.

I love the HK VP9 and Walther PDP. The grip ergonomics, the triggers, the quality, the craftsmanship, they are so good.

But the bore axis (yeah, that thing) is so different, the recoil characteristics are significantly different. The VP9 and PDP have a lot more muzzle rise/flip, it simply takes longer to get back on target, and it shows in the objective performance of speed/accuracy (where it counts).

So, yeah, I’d consider doing those drills on a timer before moving the Glock

Actually, I find the PDP to be the opposite for me, back on target quicker than the 19.
But time will tell.

Interesting.

What drill(s) do you use to test and, if you don’t mind, what times do you get with each?

I ask because feelings can be deceiving, the target and the timer are the sources of truth

3-2 drill, I don’t have a timer.

I can’t recommend a timer strongly enough. My opinion, judging firearm effectiveness/time between shots, etc, without timing it, is about as useful as judging a firearm’s accuracy shooting at a bare dirt berm.

It’s really helpful to compare your performance vs known standards, yourself to yourself across time, and your different firearms and ammunition and sighting options.

For some people I use the analogy of, it’s like going to the gym but you can’t see the weight stack or tell what pin it’s at/don’t know what the weights weigh…but you think you are getting stronger because it feels heavier the next time

Hopefully that will be in my stocking this year. :+1:

You have a PHONE. Down load a shot timer.
