Looking for a gunsmith

So I just bought an AR put 150 rounds through it, after setting it up today the charging handle and bolt carrier gets jammed where I can’t move it. Had no problems before firing.

So Idk where to look for a gunsmith

First qestion would be, where are you located? There is a damn good 'smith here in Gllette, WY. Reasonable rates also. Middle of no where to most people though.

I’m in Northwestern Ohio

Ok, I have never seen that on any of ours before.
Did you built this lower or bought it fully assembled?

Bought it fully assembled at a Rural King. Rifle brand is APF.

Check the height on this part, the BCG may be catching on it.

There are a number of gunsmiths listed for Ohio on my website at GunsmithUSA.com

Is the castle nut tight? The gap between the parts doesn’t look consistent in the photo, but looks can be deceiving.

So was the charging handle dragging between magazine changes at the range? Looks clean in your photos. Did you clean and disassemble when you got home? Is there carbon or something in the upper receiver pushing the charging handle down?
Did everything go back together easily when you were reassembling your rifle?

I had no problems with my charging handle at the range, except maybe one time loading the .223 rounds where I put a mag in, rack a round, pulled the trigger and nothing happened, where it didn’t pick up a round, then I seated the magazine, racked it, got the .223 round in pulled trigger nothing happened, extracted that put another in, pulled trigger nothing happened, so I released the mag, reloaded those 2 rounds, load it back up and it fired just fine. Friends of mine were telling me on video chat the buffer looks worn, that maybe the stock is out of spec, and said it looked like the charging handle was catching onto something. I did oil the bolt, the charging handle, the area between the charging handle and the bolt, I don’t have a kit to clean it yet.

Idk. My friends say it looked out of spec. I’ll check it out when I get home.

Can’t?
It looks like you got it apart for the photos.

Yes there’s some finish wear on the face of your buffer where the bolt carrier pushes against it.

It’s cosmetic.

The design is based on a battle rifle and it’s sturdy. Are you really having problems or just concerned about new wear appearing on your new purchase?

I’m just trying to help you troubleshoot and save your money for going to a gunsmith if you can figure it yourself.

Thanks for the video. Can you please post a few pictures of the bolt lugs?
Any chips or burrs?

And did you ever fire steel case ammunition?
Or only brass case ammunition?
