Wanted to update everyone on the Girsan Witness 2311 in 45 ACP. I sent to back to Girsan. Waited a bit and it was returned. I haven’t touched it yet because, well, they didn’t do ANYTHING. The repair sheet stated fired rounds, using 230 grain ammo but no manufacturer name and nothing on the number of rounds used/ number of magazines (I sent it back with 2 but how many times did they go though them?) and said passed function check and returned. I’m having a more experienced set of eyes take a look at it and see what they think. Not thrilled with Girsan on this specific issue. My others run like champs which just frustrate me more in wanting this one to run.

While I’m at it: Meet my new adult fidget toy - the Ruger LCP MAX EHG MAGPUL Edition in .380. This has been the rage with everyone, my son included, so when I found one online I snapped it up. Took it to the range this weekend and I noticed something about it: shooting 95 grain Blazer FMJ gave me fair groups at 7 yards, but when I used Sig 365 90 Grain Hollow Point rounds my grouping tightened up significantly. I got PMC 90 Grain FMJ and will take it back out to see if that makes a difference but it was a curious thing for me.
The grip module makes a huge difference and the extended magazine makes it even better to hold. I was never a pocket carry kind of guy but this little guy was impressive. Will be experimenting with different brands and grains to see any differences.

HiPoint 995 9mm carbine. Gonna give it a solid cleaning before I hit the range with it so no range report (yet) but it seems functional and the trigger is just as horrible as I remember.
