My wife and I were at our range/LGS a while back. I came this close to buying an AK as a boat gun. My wife was encouraging me. My bank account won out at the moment, and I never got it. I would have enjoyed it, but times got worse, and the boat is gone. Maybe I’ll still get the AK though. And another boat.

Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 9mm 3.8" compact. Discontinued and deeply discounted at Sportsman’s Warehouse for $298. Did I need it? No. Did I want it? Absolutely. She’s a surprisingly chonky lady. Picked up a small and large backstrap and two extra magazines.

Also recently scored a Colt M1911AI US Army .45 ACP via auction for cheap. Well loved, clean, just loose enough, accurate AF, and eats. Grip laser works perfectly, too. She ain’t pretty, but she certainly has character and I think I 
her.

Cant argue with a good 1911. 2 world war champion (although not as widely used but still there)
